My aim when doing a painting is to capture an exact likeness as well as the personality of the subject. My future direction when not doing commissions is to produce paintings that have more of a story to them. So that the viewer can make their own interpretation of what is happening in the painting. I will also be doing a series of striking portraits . All paintings are done in oils although I am starting to experiment with acrylics and airbrush work for larger pieces. There should be a completed example of such a portrait by August 2010 measuring 100cm x 80cm Latest changes to website : Where possible I have found the reference photos for past paintings and there are links on the respective painting's page so that you can compare the finished painting to the reference photos provided. All future paintings will be include these photos for comparison.
